Our charitable work with Veterans’ Gateway

In an average month, we handle around 200 Veterans Gateway queries from all over the world and, of those, we can expect to identify about 30 people who did not know they might have a pension entitlement.

We assist these veterans with obtaining their forecasts or with claiming. We then go back to them about three months later to find out how they got on.  The majority do not reply but some are very happy to help us to encourage others to check their entitlement by sharing their good news. here's a recent selection of our successful casework.

Geoff* left the RAF in 1980 after 7 years service.  He has been awarded a pension of about £1,800 per year, a tax-free lump sum of about £5,400 ... and 5 years back pension.

Roger* left the RAF in 1976 after 10 years service.  He has been awarded a pension of about £2,000 per year, a tax-free lump sum of about £6,000 ... and 10 years back pension.

John* left the RN in 1984 after 14 years service.  He has been awarded a pension of about £3,500 per year, a tax-free lump sum of about £10,500 ... and 5 years back pension.

Steve* left the Army in 1979 after 5 years service.  He has been awarded a pension of about £1,500 per year, a tax-free lump sum of about £4,500 ... and 3 years back pension.

Well done to all!
