State Pension Age Changes

From May 6 this year anyone born between 6 July 1954 and 5 August 1954 hit State Pension age. Anyone born between those dates will have seen their qualifying age rise from 65 to 66.

There will be two more changes to the State Pension age until the blanket rules come into effect in October - the next one occurs on 6 July and anyone who was born between 6 August 1954 and 5 September 1954 will see their State Pension age increase from 65 to 66 on this date.

On 6 September this year, there will be a further change.
