Governance & Council
The Forces Pension Society is governed as a non-for-profit limited company. It also has a charitable arm called the Forces Pension Society Charitable Fund and an investment company that manages the Society’s portfolio of reserves.
The President and Vice Presidents are men and women of stature and influence invited to hold office.
The elected Council is drawn mainly, but not exclusively, from retired ranks of all three Services. Council members are chosen for their individual skills and experience concerning issues that relate to the objectives of the Society. The maximum number of Council members is fifteen.
At the Annual General Meeting (held in early summer each year) one third of the Council retire from office. But most offer themselves for re-election.
