The most influential people in the military community for 2019 have been announced in the first part of a series of supplements from military resettlement magazine, Pathfinder International.
A panel of judges within the publication has chosen over 150 people and organisations they deem to hold influence over the armed forces body through various guises including job role, appointment, charity work and those in the public eye.
It is the first time the national publication has produced such a list in its 28-year history and has set tongues wagging in the military family.
Pathfinder editor, Mal Robinson said: “We felt the military community was missing a slice of recognition in general as one family and this felt the most appropriate way to highlight the good work across the whole of the armed forces sector.”
Robinson added: “The list is by no way definitive, however we did have to draw the line somewhere in terms of numbers on the list to make it exclusive to some extent. Whilst there will be some who have missed out, I’d like to think we have covered a lot of great work done by people in all walks of life from the Royal Family to small charities.”
The first part of the list includes HRH Queen Elizabeth II, Gavin Williamson MP (Secretary of State for Defence), triple amputee and motivational speaker, Andy Reid and former SAS soldier and bestselling author, Phil Campion.
The second and concluding part of the list features in the February issue of Pathfinder International.
