DESCRIPTION:Following the success of our first update in March\, and in case you missed it\, the FPS will deliver a second online AFPS update for Veterans at 1230-1315 on Wed 19 Jun via MS Teams. It will cover: \n\nThe latest on the 2015 Remedy (McCloud) implementation\nHow pension benefits were earned during service and the ages that deferred pensions are paid\nWhen and how the pension benefits increase\nHow to obtain a forecast for a deferred pension from Veterans UK\nDependents Benefits\nHow to claim a deferred pension\nThe benefits of membership of the Forces Pension Society\nAdditonal updates as requested by Veterans from our previous webinar\n\nThe brief will be delivered by the FPS Roadshow Manager with support from our Forces Pension Consultants. Whilst there will not be an opportunity to ask verbal questions during the brief you can pose questions via the chat function and those questions will be collated by the consultants into themes and then they will talk to those themes. \nWe would like to add at this point that we do not record our presentations. DESCRIPTION:As we continue to improve the service to our Members\, we are excited to announce our next Members webinar. \nDate: The date for your diary is 18:30 on 26 April 2023 \nThe FPS Members Spring Webinar will be held on Wednesday 26 April at 1830 on MS Teams. It will be hosted by the Chief Executive\, Neil Marshall supported by Assistant Head Pensions\, Mike Davis. \nNeil will cover: \n\nCurrent key themes in the Armed Forces Pension landscape;\nA deep dive into the 2015 Remedy (McCloud); and\nA reminder of the key benefits of your membership.\n\nGiven the anticipated number of attendees it won’t be possible to verbally ask questions during the webinar\, but you will be able to pose them via a chat function and Mike will collate them into themes and then talk to those themes during breaks. The webinar will also be recorded and then placed in the Members area of the website a few days later. \nTo book a place on this webinar please complete the form at this link https://forms.office.com/e/mJXKRgj0X7 which requires providing an email address for the MS Teams meeting link to be sent to. Attendance will be limited to a manageable level and will be on a first come first served basis with applications closing at 1730 on Friday 21 April.
