Leaving with a Preserved or Deferred Pension? What are the Rules?

The majority of Service personnel do not serve until the Immediate Pension Point for AFPS 75 or the Normal Pension Age for either AFPS 05 (age 55) or AFPS 15 (age 60).  This normally results in the award of a preserved or deferred pension.  It is important to know what you have earned, what your options are and, if you do not transfer your benefits out of the scheme, when you can draw them.
