On Sunday 11 October, the HMT’s Public Consultation on McCloud ended.
We submitted our formal response on 7 October and receipt has been acknowledge by the Treasury and the Ministry of Defence.
The Public Consultation may have ended, however we continue to advocate for Deferred Choice Underpin (DCU) as our piece ‘McCloud and the Armed Forces: the importance of making the right decision‘ in the recent issue of The House Magazine explains.

It’s also worth noting that since our response we have also heard from the Civil Service Pensioners Alliance (CSPA), the British Medical Association (BMA), the National Education Union (NEU) and the National Association of Retired Police Officers (NARPO) – we are all in agreement that Deferred Choice Underpin (DCU) is the path to follow.
