The Forces Pension Society is an independent, not-for-profit membership funded organisation that acts as the pension watchdog for the whole military community.


advise members on the technical aspects of their Armed Forces Pension

campaign against any injustices in the policy provision or mal-administration of Armed Forces Pensions

educate the Armed Forces community on all pension matters


Provide accurate, timely and credible technical pension advice and other services to our Members;

Represent the whole Armed Forces Community at the top tables of government in relation to Armed Forces Pensions, holding to account when necessary;

Raise awareness across the Armed Forces Community on the complexities and benefits of their Armed Forces Pension;

In order to empower our members to make the best pension choices

We sit on the Ministry of Defence Pensions Board and the Public Services Pensioners Council representing our members.

Our history

The Society was formed in 1946 in the aftermath of the Second World War to campaign for better pension provision for Armed Forces veterans and their families.
