What our members say
“Wow – thank you very much for the detailed e-mail. Having burnt my maths text books at the tender age of 16 this is exactly what I needed to make sense of what is a complicated system. Quite how anyone is supposed to be able to decipher that without your help is beyond me! I really appreciate the work you have put in and will recommend you to all my colleagues – a fantastic service.
“Commissioned Officer pension supplement”
“Thank you for your advice regarding my claim for a pension supplement based on my years as a commissioned officer. I am pleased to report that my claim was successful and this brings the total payment to £9004.70. I have made a number of people aware of the Forces Pension Society and the work that you are doing to assist forces pensioners and their wives/husbands, I hope that they will all join and use your services.”
“Thank you for the most comprehensive breakdown of a pension that I have ever seen! You have given me lots to think about and have shown options that I didn’t know existed. I am incredibly grateful for you taking the time to prepare the information and for the work that you do on behalf of those of us still serving and those retired.”
“I have received overall £12743. Could not have done it without the support of the Society so I would like to thank you for pointing me in the right direction and particularly the help you gave me with the paperwork and answers to my questions. Really appreciate what you have done for me.”
“A happy ending”
“I would just like to thank the team at FPS. I can confirm that over the last couple of weeks I have received several payments with regard to my claim, nearly £2000 tax free, £5600 after tax and nearly £600 for loss of interest in addition to a £45 monthly increase to my pension, so one very happy ex-serviceman. Once again thanks for your continued help and support in such matters”
“Thanks to your excellent guidance I received a total of £10,218.99 in my bank account after tax. Really over the moon with this award and would have been totally unaware of it had I not contacted the Forces Pension Society.”
“I am beyond thanks”
“Once again I am beyond thanks for the level of detail here, you have given me a lot to think about. By the way it was a talk you gave at RCDM that inspired me to join the society. It was miles above anything that UAO could give us.
“Remarkable value “
“I am writing to express my gratitude to the Forces Pension Society having recently found myself caught in a wicked, and somewhat unique, pension trap. I had a consultation with Charlie King and Mike Davis, who seem to be not only amongst the few people who understand the complexities of the situation, but also able to communicate them in a way that I could understand. I cannot begin to think how much such advice would have cost from a paid professional. It makes FPS membership remarkable value. I continue to cajole my unsubscribed colleagues into doing so.”
“Second to none”
“Your time and swift response to my requests have been second to none and I am very grateful. This will assist me very much, and from the info provided I have decided to take both resettlement and inverse commutation. The info and service provided already by Forces pension society without doubt a few quid very well spent becoming a member. If I do require any more guidance I will get in touch soonest.
“Truly fantastic service”
“For those considering options outside of service life or just thinking through their future, I cannot recommend the Forces Pension Society enough. If I am honest I was a bit reticent to sign up, but am so glad I did. Their service truly is fantastic. I made an enquiry just two working days ago and yesterday morning I was given a call to talk through the specifics of my service, before receiving a full pension forecast by email in the afternoon. Thank you to the society and to Colin Thomas in particular for his great service. I am hugely appreciative.”
