This Week’s Good News Story

The Song of the Service Child

Two very talented Service children, Emily Rawlins and Lewis Elliott, have written the song Welcome Home to capture the feelings of Armed Forces Families, in conjunction with Armed Forces Day.

The song was awarded First Place in the 2020/21 Never Such Innocence International Competition, which had entries from over 95 countries.

20 Tri-forces service children, ages 6-17, from all over the country are coming to London on the 19-20 June to record the song at Abbey Road Studios.The song was arranged by Terry Devine-King, with the vocal arrangement by Ben Parry and production by Andrew Sunnucks and Terry Devine-King.

Welcome Home will premiere at the National Memorial Arboretum on 26th June for Armed Forces Day.
