FPS Roadshow Manager Rob Morris updates us on last week’s programme, and gives us the details for this week’s events.
Last week 18 – 22 July
A total of 628 service personnel were reached this week in a mix of briefings, delivered by the CE, Roadshow Manager and Pension Consultants, to Units, Courses and Service Leavers. Three planned Roadshows (to RAF Cosford, HQ 3 UK Division and ATR Winchester) were postponed due to either other short notice commitments or the extreme weather last week, but all are being re-booked for later on this year.
The CE started the week on Tuesday – the hottest day of the year – with briefs to the students of ACSC and ICSC(L) at the JSCSC whilst I delivered two briefs to 32 Regt RA in the air conditioned cool of the Newcome Hall in Larkhill. Wednesday saw a FAR via webinar, on behalf of CTP, delivered by our Pension Consultants, to service leavers and I presented to the soon to be commissioned OCdts at RAF Cranwell. And this was followed by three briefs across the day to 5 RIFLES in Bulford on Thursday.
This week 25 -29 July
My last week of briefs for a couple of weeks before I head off on leave for the first two weeks of August and one which will see me in various locations around the country. I start in Middle Wallop on Monday with three briefs (75/15, 05/15 and 15) to the service personnel based there before heading to HMNB Devonport on Tuesday to deliver two briefs (75/05/15) to RN personnel. On Wednesday I’m in Warwickshire at Kineton Station delivering a combined 75/05/15 brief and on Thursday in Portsmouth presenting to the Joint Hospital Group South in HMS Excellent (75/15 and 05/15). The week wraps up with a 75/05/15 webinar to 32 Regt RA personnel on Friday morning.
