Pension Awareness Week 2022

Following the passing of Her Majesty The Queen, and out of respect, this year’s Pension Awareness Campaign has been postponed. We will publish new dates as soon as we have them.

This year’s Pension Awareness Week is 12th -16th September, with the National Pension Awareness Day falling as usual on the 15th.

Beginning back in 2014 by the team at Pension Geeks, the annual Pension Awareness Day aims to highlight the importance of pension saving.

Over one week, the pensions industry comes together to provide free events, webinars and pension clinics to help the public and employers understand pensions and how to achieve the retirement they want.

With not long to go now, we have been busy making our own preparations for a week full of roadshow events & webinars, live sessions, and daily pension tips & facts, and some myth busting!

Here’s our programme so far:

As you can see, there will be plenty throughout the week to help you get to grips with your pension, at an event, on our website, or via social media.

Also, we’re constantly looking for ways to improve the way the pension system is operated – and we’re best placed to put necessary pressure on ‘the system’ to bring about positive change. As part of this ‘holding to account’ our Chief Executive will be at the next MOD Pension Board meeting which falls very aptly, this year, on Pension Awareness Day – 15 September

And finally, although just out of Pension Awareness Week, but still very much part of our campaign, we have arranged an additional webinar with our friends at The Forces Employment Charity (Officers’ Association & RFEA) for the 26 September. More details on that here
