The Forces Pension Society Charitable Fund (FPSCF) is a small charity, whose objects are:
- The relief of widows, widowers, surviving qualifying cohabitants, surviving civil partners and surviving dependant relatives of members of the Forces Pension Society or of persons who served in the Armed Forces of the Crown (whether or not they were members of the Forces Pension Society) who are in need by virtue of financial hardship, sickness, disability or the effects of old age;
- Such other charitable purposes as the trustees may from time to time decide.
The Fund is seeking two new Trustees in 2023 to replace those who will have completed their tenure. The Trustees meet 4 times a year, generally in London, though by Zoom when appropriate. The role of Trustee is a voluntary role and unremunerated. All Trustees are expected to be ‘hands on’ and be prepared to assist with the practical administration of the charity such as filling the role of Treasurer or Secretary.
We seek to have representatives on the Charity from across the Services and the Widows community , in addition, one of our Trustees is nominated by the Forces Pension Society. We are looking for Trustees who have empathy with the charity’s objectives, general financial management skills and an understanding of Charity governance.
