The Society was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of General Lord Ramsbotham GCB, CBE on 13 December 2022.
Lord Ramsbotham was a British Army officer, who later served as HM Chief Inspector of Prisons. He was awarded a life peerage in 2005, and later sat on the crossbenches of the House of Lords.
He joined the Society as Vice President back in 2012, and since then remained a valued and highly-regarded supporter of the Society’s work.
