The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), is running a Pension Credit campaign to raise eligibility awareness.
If you or someone in your family is over State Pension age and on a low income, Pension Credit could provide extra money to help with living costs, even if you own your own home or have savings. It could be worth an average of £3,500 a year.
People who claim Pension Credit may also be able to get:
- help with heating costs
- help with housing costs and council tax
- a free TV license for those aged 75 or over
You may also be eligible for Cost of Living payments of up to £900.
