In August last year, we talked about Pensions Dashboards – The Digital Future
We know that the ‘staging date’ for all public service pensions (i.e. the final date that pension schemes can connect to the “dashboard ecosystem”) is the end of September 2024. This is the date from which the Armed Forces Pension Schemes must be connected so data is available to be queried by other dashboards.
The staging date is not however the date from which members will be able to interrogate the dashboards to find details of their benefits – this date is known as the Dashboards Available Point (DAP). The DAP will be common to all schemes, and will be announced by the Secretary of State to the pensions industry with at least 6 months’ notice.
Although public service pension schemes have the latest staging dates of all “large schemes” (more than 1000 members), smaller schemes (100 – 999 members) will stage over the following year (October 2025) and dates have yet to be set for the smallest schemes (sub-100 members).
It is difficult to see how the DAP will be announced before the end of 2025, but meanwhile you can be assured we’ll keep you updated, and you can find more information at Pensions Dashboards Programme.
