On 26 June, our CE spoke to the serving UK Military Members at the Royal College of Defence Studies (RCDS) in Seaford House, London.
The discussion covered the current strategic pension environment and some of the top issues of the day including the implementation of the 2015 Remedy (McCloud) and the outcomes of the Government’s 2023 Budget announcement relating to Pension Taxation.
The RCDS course is a post graduate level course in international level strategic studies focussing on political, diplomatic, security, social and economic issues at the grand strategic level – the level at which governments take decisions.
These opportunities help the next generation of strategic leaders understand some of the wider context surrounding the long-term provision of Public Service Pensions and the AFPS in particular – we are very grateful to everyone at Seaford House for their warm welcome and engagement.
