It is our understanding that since 1 April 2024, anyone who is serving and in-scope for the 2015 Remedy (McCloud) with a JPA Account will be issued their Remediable Service Statement (RSS) on JPA.
The RSS will be tailored to individual circumstances and outline the value of your legacy pension scheme benefits and AFPS 15 benefits that were accrued for service in the remedy period (1 April 2015 – 31 March 2022). The ‘election’ RSS should be available on JPA within 6-9 months of your end of engagement date and you will have 6 months from the issue date of the RSS to make your election.
The RSS can be found as follows:
- log into JPA,
- select JPA self-service – Employee, Armed Forces,
- select the ‘My Money’ drop down box,
- select Pensions: Remedial Service Statement
When the RSS is available, a workflow notification will be sent on JPA. If the RSS is produced on JPA a hard copy will not be issued. For those who have left service, the RSS will be posted to the address provided on the AFPS Pension Form 1.
