The Forces Pension Society is enormously grateful for the grant recently received from the Veterans’ Foundation in support of our Armed Forces Pensions Roadshow.
Our Roadshow programme delivers group briefings to the Armed Forces community in the UK and overseas, and its purpose is to help members of the community – serving, service leavers, veterans and families – to better understand their pension and guide them to take ownership of any related decisions.
The generous grant from the Veterans’ Foundation will help the Society continue its work to educate and raise awareness across the Armed Forces Community on the complexities and benefits of their Armed Forces Pension.
A big thank you goes to them!
The Veterans’ Foundation is one of the country’s leading military charities. It was set up in 2016 to raise funds to help other charities provide vital support to our Armed Forces’ community. These include those serving, veterans and their families with a range of needs, including mental health, physical therapy and rehabilitation, homelessness and education and training. Since 2016 the Foundation has raised more than £23 million* and awarded 1,100 grants to more than 450 small and medium-sized charities and charitable organisations** that deliver life-changing projects across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
The Veterans’ Foundation raises funds through its Veterans’ Lottery, legacy gifts in wills, and donations, it also maintains a Memorial Wall so friends and family can honour their heroes.
