Eligible personnel should be provided with an Election RSS by Veterans UK before they leave and will have 6 months to make their election from the issue date on the RSS.
It will have a bold box on the front page stating ‘Important – Action required. Review your options and make a decision’.

Veterans UK is now issuing Information RSS. They state in the second paragraph ‘This Remediable Service Statement (RSS) is for information only. No action is required currently.’ It outlines the pension position up to the date the RSS was produced and is not a projection of the pension benefits payable on retirement.
