The latest MOD update shows that 99,077 Remediable Service Statements (RSSs) have now been issued to Armed Forces Pension Scheme members.
The MOD also reports that there are 11,770 Immediate Choice RSSs still to be completed, with around 4,400 currently in processing, and 1,566 deferred member statements cannot currently be issued because the members cannot be traced or their address details are not up to date.
The MOD says more complex pension cases continue to require additional assessment, and they “are not yet able to give individual timescales…”
The latest update reinforces what many members already know: the most complex cases are taking the longest to resolve. For those still waiting, the key message is that work is continuing, but individual completion dates remain unavailable. We know many members remain frustrated by the lack of certainty around when they will receive their statement, and we continue to press the MOD for greater clarity on delivery timescales and to ensure the concerns of affected members are heard.
MOD are due to release another update in December this year.
