On 22 January 24 the MOD asked for comments on the proposed amendment to the AFPS 15 regulations, which seeks to remedy the errors caused by the use of provisional Average Weekly Earnings* (AWE) percentage in the 2021 Order and the 2022 Order.

Our response did not raise any major objections, though we did raise three policy issues to which the MOD has responded, and which we are now considering.
*The AWE is the figure which is applied to AFPS15 only to increase (revalue) previous years of accruals, whilst still serving.
