AFPS15 Remedy RSS Delay and FTRS as “Complex Cases”

Several of our members have contacted us following correspondence from Veterans UK informing them of the further delay to delivery of their Remediable Service Statement (RSS) due to being a “complex case”, and incorrectly categorising them with Full Time Reserve Service (FTRS).

Our subsequent engagement with the MOD revealed this to be due to a data automation error which incorrectly categorised separate periods of service as FTRS.

While those with separate periods of service will remain classified as a “complex case”, there is no requirement for those affected to contact Veterans UK. We have been assured that when issued, individual RSSs will reflect the individual’s correct circumstances.

Thank you to those who alerted us to this issue. We will continue to monitor the AFPS 15 Remedy implementation and encourage the MOD to act swiftly to correct any errors identified during the process.

The MOD has released an update which refers to the “complex cases” errors, and outlines the latest AFPS15 Remedy position. You can read it here.
