Last week was significant for the Roadshow, with seven presentations delivered to 594 personnel across Defence. We started with a milestone: our first brief to the permanent staff at RMAS, delivering to those directly involved in shaping and supporting the officer training environment. On Tuesday, we completed three sessions at MOD Northwood – the UK’s principal military HQ and home to PJHQ and NATO MARCOM – reaching personnel at the heart of global operations.
Mid-week included a Senior Officer FAR, and on Thursday, we supported deployed personnel on Op CABRIT in Estonia via a webinar, reinforcing our commitment to those serving overseas. The week concluded at MOD Abbey Wood, with an audience of 355, rounding off a genuinely high-impact diverse, high-level, and operationally significant week – showing the breadth of our reach as the year accelerates toward its close. This week will be equally diverse, with our Roadshow Manager moving north to RAF Waddington and Cranwell, and then further to Catterick:
- Tuesday: Aldershot Health Fair, Aldershot Garrison Sports Centre, 1000 – 1430
- Wednesday: RAF Waddington, the Pip Beck Centre, 1100; RAF Cranwell, MIOT 38
- Thursday: 1 SCOTS GDS, Somme Barracks, Catterick
- Friday: Intermediate Command and Staff Course (Maritime), Shrivenham
The aim of our Roadshow is to provide the Armed Forces Community with information regarding their Armed Forces Pension Scheme (AFPS) in order that they can make informed and empowered decisions at key points of their career, and beyond.
